ALL designs and concepts presented on these pages were created and developed by Michael McHugh including story, illustrations , animations, 3D design development, budgets and capacity / revenue numbers and are the property of Michael McHugh LLC.

The clock is ticking! We can still do a scaled version of this project in time for Dubai 2020 Expo. It would be mounted on a floating barge and then after EXPO 2020 it could be moved to other venues in that region as a visiting booked attraction. All neighboring countries could benefit from the shared experience.

We can modify and simplify this attraction / pavillion working with a target budget of 30 to 40 million USD and make it happen for the  opening.

We have the technology "Partners" to do this project and more!

We can do this " Together " !

This concept was originally created to be an attraction located in the Dubai Creek during the  Dubai Expo 2020. It would be a unique visitor center attraction and would celebrate the "connectivity" of Dubai to the world, past, present and future, in leading and inspiring positive growth for all the region.

"The Sphere" could also be constructed in other parts of the world and they could be connected in real-time for the first global immersive experience.

Imagine a "sister" sphere opening in Tokyo for the 2020 Olympics and linking and sharing both "2020" experiences "LIVE" in real time. We live in a glorious time!

All Videos on this page were created and rendered in a virtual environment in real-time. All the locations are ready for you to visit and explore. I am happy to offer walk around tours via Skype. Just let me know via email and we can schedule you no matter what the time zone. I will make it work.

This concept could be produced as a floating event pavilion so that after Expo 2020 it could be moved to other venues and shared throughout the region.

Al Wasl: The connection

From the beginning of time, man has traveled the world , mapping routes and setting up links and communication with other people and cultures.

Now, the space above the earth is also a place filled with special routes navigated by thousands of satellites that watch over and study the earth and the universe beyond, and make possible instant global communication.

Come celebrate now, with us, the amazing developments in technology and communication over the past 100 years that made and are making the world a better place for all people.

Good science and good connectivity help create good stewards of this Earth.

This "TOTAL IMMERSION SPHERE DOME THEATER" will be the first of it's kind on the planet. It will include a massive 80 passenger motion base platform ride system on a massive turntable giving the greatest range of show movement ever achieved.

There will be "NO" projectors! The entire interior will be covered in the state of the art in flexible LED display technology panels. Currently we can provide for our line of semi dome design, 1.9 mm dot pitch. see: flextek-media.weebly.com/

The experience , depending on the budget could have "Real-time" interactive and real-time 8K ray tracing provided by production collaborators like Digital Domain
http://digitaldomain.com/
and Silverdraft Supercomputing. http://www.silverdraft.com/

Imagine this shimmering gem reflecting in the waters of the region and inviting guests from around the world to come to "Dubai Expo 2020" and make the "connection".   Al Wasl !

These videos illustrate an attraction using modified concepts of ride systems from Dynamic Attractions. (Artist Concepts). All video productions and design development is taking place in a VR environment, which means you can walk around in all these video environments.

A modified "Flying Theater" on a massive turntable with LED 360 screen. 80 seats

This video represents the full attraction with all options. Part "A" the "Island of Dreams", the exciting ride into the future and Part "B" "Bio-Al Wasl" the "connected universe" a submerged and totally immersed educational experience highlighting the unique relationships of man and the planet and how we must all be "Stewards" of the this "Earth". Featuring award winning "Dome" content producers showcasing their work via the FlexTek-Media LED "Minidomes" and first ever "Sphere-Domes".

The best shows are at sunset when the guests are taken out to the "Island of Dreams" in romantic traditional fishing boats with glowing electric sails. There they can disembark and enjoy the fantastic adventures of the latest 360 super surround dome experience along with the nighttime fireworks and candle fly wishing ceremony.
NOTE:  The Original design was to be a 50 diameter dome. It can be scaled to a 100 foot diameter dome to accommodate the super  large platform seating and motion base for high capacity through-put.

Al Wasl the "Experience" could be located in one of the many lagoons, embracing the central city area of Dubai.

Access would be by small commercial ferry , a pedestrian causeway and specially designed small motor powered water taxis styled like traditional fishing boats and operating much like the gondolas of Venice.

All during the day and night until closing, the waters around the "Island of Dreams " are alive with activity as people come and go to the most fantastic adventure in downtown Dubai.

The large "Gem" symbolic of the earth and man's connectivity pulses with life and energy.

We are treated to a most wonderful show that takes us to places far beyond our imaginations, to a place and time created by "Al Wasl" and the intelligence of mankind and the willingness to work together.

We catch a glimpse of the future, a bright , happy and productive future filled with wonders.

We are shown a clear path. We are given hope, and that hope is made even more profound by the very term "Al Wasl" the connection.

"We", all mankind, all creatures, and living things on this Earth are in fact connected and must share and care for this Earth and each other.

Note: The waters around the attraction are also set up as a giant fish farm filling the lagoon with millions of edible fish contained and cared for in a sustainable marine farming enterprise. Imagine these giant schools of silver fish swirling around the attraction as you look out and admire the wonder of life and how lucky we are to be here.

This version was scaled up and the theme was changed to show how science and connectivity protects the oceans and the earth.

Al Wasl the experience, is a "sculpture" and "visitor center" that illustrates the routes laid down over thousands of years on the earth's surface and now high above orbiting this lone blue gem in our solar system.

It is almost an invisible shield that we take for granted and is growing daily to help understand the Earth and the people living here through connectivity, sharing and learning together.

Al Wasl.

This full dome "sculpture" experience, fabricated in high finish stainless steel with some special animating LED orbit tracks, will pulse with energy and will utilize the highest quality P2.5 mm Flexi LED technology and blend that with "State of the Art" in laser and projection technology to provide a breath taking 360 degree immersive and interactive "Visitor Center" experience.
This show is much more than a film experience.

This experience will be incorporating new technologies like LEAP and other thin client elements allowing the guests to be able to control aspects of the show as they develop, thrusting each guest into a total immersive world filled with "gentle" interactivity.

Explore the past and present via super high resolution 8k interactive videos featuring the trade routes and travel explorations of man, from the Silk Road to flights on board the International Space Station and beyond to what the future might hold in store for us all here on Earth.
- If we remember  Al Wasl.
